Reviewed the patch and it is working fine. Hence marking it to RTBC
Dropdown icon not visible on custom display settings for user interfaces there should be a dropdown icon.
1. Install theme.
2. Go to admin/appearance and set as Administration theme
3. Go to admin/structure/types/manage/page/display
Then you able to see the issue.
Icon will help to user to understand that there is drop down.
