TypeError: Failed to execute 'put' on 'Cache': Request scheme 'data' is unsupported

Is this really working as designed?

The issue was not caused by the module but the patch that I linked

After reading the linked issue the request was made to open up a separate issue like this one for the regression.

I will keep it open as others are also getting this error.

I thought that it was due to the patch in the linked issue but others are also getting it.

Please try 2.x - 8.x.1-x won't receive updates from our side anymore.
