This is the second part of the #202 "reroll". I found a way to make the patch less complicated.
It allows to nest non-pattern field_groups into pattern field_groups and the opposite.
It has no depth limitation.
It works well with ✨ Support modules that use field_layout data (eg. field_group). Needs work (#283) and probably (didn't try) with #3311088: Add extra field support → (#282)

The change is currently missing an automated test that fails when run with the original code, and succeeds when the bug has been fixed.
