Automated Drupal 10 compatibility fixes

Any plans to do a Drupal 10 compatible release?

I tried to contact the maintainer, but I did not receive a response.

The module would probably need a new maintainer.

I saw Niels created a new release for Purge → , so I assume he is still active. Probably just busy :-)

It's not him, His last action dates from 2021.

(I think what you saw is the develop branch which is updated automatically)

I'm having trouble fixing the existing tests in 📌 Fix tests Fixed . Would be nice if someone could have a look, because without a green test suite I'm not going to be able to create a new release.

@hmdnawaz what's the reason you dropped support for versions between 8.8.6 and 9.3.0? I might be wrong, but I don't see any backwards incompatible change.

Old versions may either work with an old version of a module, or if supported by someone, be updated to the latest Drupal version.

I understand, but IMO there’s no reason to drop support for old versions of it’s not really needed. Especially for 9.x versions. In practice a lot of Drupal sites are still using older versions, might as well support them if it doesn’t mean any extra work for us.

I increased the minimum version of the Purge module to 8.x-3.3, which is the first version with D10 support. I matched the core dependency with the core dependency of the Purge module, which is ^9.2 || ^10. I also increased the minimum PHP version to 7.3, which is the lowest version still supported by Drupal 9.2.
