Schema.org Blueprints Project - Update categories

The Project Browser Initiative is working on a new page for adding and installing modules. The default display of the Project Browser will show Drupal modules that have a release that is compatible with the version of Drupal the site is using. A card will be displayed for each of the modules (projects). The key components displayed on the card will include a logo, a short description and the categories this module belongs to.

The number of categories was recently reduced from 55 down to 19 to help folks searching for modules to more effectively use the category filter.

First, read through the moduleโ€™s project page on Drupal.org . If needed, spin up the module on SimplyTest.me or DrupalPod to understand what the module does. Then review the Category Definitions and suggest 1-3 categories for the module. (When in doubt, err on the side of fewer, not more!)

The current categories on the project page are :

    1. Administration Tools
    2. Content Editing Experience
    3. Decoupled

I think SEO and Decoupled align better with the module according to the module's project page

    - Decoupled: according to the project page the module provides APIs; for integration with a decoupled apps
    - Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Exposing the content data to the Search engines is one of the primary features the module.

but I don't think that the Schema.org blueprint module is a good fit for Administrative tools category since the module does not seem to enhance the administrative experience in the current project (it might be relevant for the new schemadotorg_experimental project)

  • I'd advocate for these categories:

    • Content Editing Experience - because standardized, consistent data structures can contribute to a streamlined authoring experience
    • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - structured data contributes to good SEO
    • Site Structure - structured data is what it's all about

I agree with @bhogue on this. Modifying the Issue Summary to add
Site Structure - "Extend the structure of the site by way of content models, data storage, field types, and navigation, so it is more understandable to users" and mark RTBC
