Date range filter not working if min and max date field have same date value in view

I have created a view called "Articles" with date range filter. I have installed Date Popup module for date selection. But when I select same date in Min and Max field and perform filter it is not working. Please refer screenshots for more details.

Steps to reproduce:

Create view with date range filter
Perform filter with same date in min and max field
It won't show any data even data is present.

I have checked view's query and found that it is happening because of timestamp comparison. Same date will have identical timestamp and because of this no record is showing.

#3 🐛 Date range filter not working if min and max date field have same date value in view Closed: duplicate helped me.
In my case I used "node_field_data.created BETWEEN"
But is is not a universal solution.
This is a serious bug. I wonder how other people overcome it.
