Since there's not been a follow up going to close out, if still an issue in D11 please re-open.
When using a modal with drupalAutoButton setting turned on, a dropbutton is converted to individual buttons on the buttonpane of the dialog.
instead of looking like this within the modal
Combine layout_paragraphs with paragraph that can have sub paragraphs and set the experimental widget for managing the sub paragraphs to dropbutton mode.
