As catch points out this is working as designed. It has been two years since then and there has been no following discussion to support changing the text. Therefor, per #14, I am closing this issue.
In the user settings of the user contact form the text says:
Personal contact form
Allow other users to contact you via a personal contact form which keeps your email address hidden. Note that some ...
is not correct. The email address of the user is in the Reply-to header of the send mail.
If the recipient looks into the email source text or responds to the email, he see the email address of the original sender.
