Color contrast in "Juicebox Error:Config file not found" block is insufficient

Created on 25 September 2019, over 5 years ago
Updated 17 May 2025, 20 days ago

text color: #ffffff
background color: #777777

The color contrast score of this combination is 4.48.

Accessibility requires the contrast to be 4.5 or greater.

As far as I can tell, I can't override this via a theme template/css, so I suppose it will have to be fixed at the source in the module.

Rebased on 4.0.x-dev - this should be easily resolved. Merge requests are welcome!

Added the Novice tag to open credit eligibility wider!

  • First commit to issue fork.
  • Hi xem8vfdh and luke.leber,

I created a demo to test the module, but I'm not sure where these colors should be changed, I searched through library and module code and couldn't find any reference for #777777 or RGB equivalent, maybe this was already changed on the library. Could you please provide more information like a screenshot or class name?

    Thank you!

Curious. How much difference does a color contrast difference of 4.50 versus 4.48?

Not saying we shouldn't strictly adhere to standards, but skeptical that 4.50 versus 4.48 making a difference versus other priorities.

I have a copy of all Juicebox code locally and will take a look and report back if I see anything.
