Google map iframes deploy a ton of cookies which make the use of this module non-compliant for websites accessed inside the EU under the GDPR rules.

See screenshot attached.

Is it possible to embed google maps from a cookieless domain?

See https://stackoverflow.com/questions/40995225/avoid-a-google-maps-map-emb...

I know that Google Analytics module have had similar issues and that EU Cookie Compliance module also have got involved. [2.x?] How to block cookies until the user accepts, for example Google Analytics cookies? Needs work

As far as I know EU Cookie Compliance module, disables cookies until they have been agreed to, but in order to do so it has to load the cookies first. Unfortunately this approach causes websites to fail automated tests such the one provided by Cookiebot which is recommended to public sector orgs, here in the UK.

I appreciate the goal of this module is simplicity, but expect this very real problem may introduce some complexity.
