Thanks for the patches. I just created another one for our particular instance that wraps the description with translatable markup as well. The line needed to patch was 263 instead of 262. Posted here for example:
If you use a media though the media library that is an image type that has its alternative text mandatory, if you want to use the double quotes pattern to ignore the alt text for an exceptional use case, the alt text rendered will be "" instead of an empty alt text as it would happen to an image inserted via the text editor.

Being consistent to let users insert a media without an alternative text would make more sense.
