It would be great if it was possible to configure the translation table for nodes! Especially for multilingual websites with many different use cases it would make it possible to customize and tailor more what information to display there. As example it would be possible to display a column for moderation states of different translations (if that is important for the translation system on the site), or to display different language version of images/files, if that is important for the type of content that should be translated. So to make the content translation tab/table as a view would give more flexibility for multilingual site builders!

In #8 @berdir, make an argument for not adding this to come. There hasn't been further comments supporting the idea either. So, should this be closed as won't fix?
