Please provide an option to disable cookies for Vimeo embeds.

I have been thinking about the GDPR cookies thing, so I asked Vimeo about disabling cookies. It sounds pretty easy, although the subtitle thing could be an issue.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for writing in.

It is possible to disable cookies in our embedded player. You can do this by adding ?dnt=1 to the end of the player URL in your embed code. For example, the embed code should look like this:

<iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/123456?dnt=1" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>

Adding this parameter will have the same effect as enabling "Do not track" in your browser's settings.

Please note that once cookies are disabled, advanced functionality of the Vimeo player will be disabled as well. For example, the player will no longer have the ability to save any chosen volume, quality, and subtitles preferences.

Give that a try and please let me know if you have any questions.
