Configurable field options per link dataset widget

#97766: Class attribute field option for each dataset in link widget → just landed in contrib. And a configurable 'title' and 'rel' have been there for some time. I do not see any duplicate functionality in core's implementation. Should this be something for contrib to add or is there any means to get this added still link? This is essentially a request if this is possible to get into core at this late date.

Class is fairly important on a per instance basis so I can tag a link with different classes and respond to them with jQuery. For example, force popup into an external window vs not setting target=_blank.

If this is agreeable to include, I'll start working on a patch.

Thank you for sharing your idea for improving Drupal.

We are working to decide if this proposal meets the Criteria for evaluating proposed changes. There hasn't been any discussion here for over 8 years which suggests that this has either been implemented or there is no community support. Your thoughts on this will allow a decision to be made.

Since we need more information to move forward with this issue, the status is now Postponed (maintainer needs more info). If we don't receive additional information to help with the issue, it may be closed after three months.
