This is part of the Drupal 7 documentation and Drupal 7 is end of life. Therefor, this is no longer relevant.
I've been going through the handbook lately and checking where and what can be improved. I think we can better organize the following page, http://drupal.org/node/22573, by grouping howto's under version number. Right now, some of these posts require updates and at a quick glance, you cannot tell which are for Drupal 6 and 7.
I'm raising this issue because this page comes up as top result in search (http://www.google.com/search?q=Drupal+module+howtos) and gets quite some attention.
Would love to help make this better.
