Rerolling patch for latest codebase.
Patch doesn't apply to D10 it seems, needs to be rerolled. Any chance this issue can get some love from the maintainers? 4 years old and it's actually super useful.

First of all thank you for all your contributions, it's sincerely appreciated since nowadays the time I have available for this (and other) module is very limited. I'm looking for a co-maintainer that wants to pick this up, if anyone is interested please let me know.
As to the issue at hand, the MR looks okay (although I confess I didn't test extensively), but would be good to incorporate Oulalahakabu's changes.
If we can update the MR and do some more testing I can get that merged and shipped.
