Thank you so much for this patch. I applied to one of my Drupal 7 websites.
I had a conflict though, with the
https://www.drupal.org/project/minifyjs →
v7.x-1.9
When I have the Javascript minification enabled in the Performance screen, the login form was always failing.
Now I disabled it and the form works fine.

I am experiencing the same problem. I just started setting up this module, and it seems not to work properly because of this issue. I wonder if it is recommended to get back to the older version and if there will be an update path in the future.
