I was on the wrong version! I had installed 1.0.1 on my website and then tested https://www.drupal.org/project/media_folders/releases/1.0.x-dev →
I hadn't installed 1.0.2 which is working perfectly on my website with the large dataset!!

I had the same issue with the 1.0.2 version on my website as it has a large dataset but checking out the dev branch resolves the issue.
When would this issue likely be fix/released ?

We implemented the suggested fix and have tested in our production environment and the fix has resolved our issue we are no longer seeing the error in our accessibility reports.

I have just checked your solution of going to Settings > Styling > Show title in notice dialog and this has resolved my issue and the error has gone away in Axe DevTools.
Maybe should we add this information in the description of the title field? I think it would be a good idea to add the information for future in case others come across this issue!
