Hi all

For Drupal 10.1.5: Patch #8 solved my issue. :)

As per the steps to reproduce the issue

The updated module menu_item_extras is working properly

Please check this after saving the menu link and selecting the menu manage display form.

Here Below I have attached the module details for your reference.

Drupal Version: 9.5.10

Menu Item Extras 3.0.2

If the issue still persists, please let me know

To further clarify the concern raised by the original poster (OP), I've conducted additional testing and expanded the menu structure for a more comprehensive illustration:

- Link to Node 1
- Another link to Node 1
- Link to Node 2
- Link to Node 3
- Link to Node 4
- Link to Node 5
- Link to Node 6

With the previously described settings, it's evident that the menu block appears when visiting any link on levels 2 or 3, except for the URL path "/node/1." It appears that the OP's expectation is for the menu to also display when visiting "/node/1."

Our next course of action should be to determine whether this behavior is intentional or if it indeed constitutes a bug. If it's by design, we should categorize this issue as "working as designed." Conversely, if it's identified as a bug, we will need to develop and apply a patch to rectify it.

In accordance with Comment #13, I meticulously followed the provided steps to reproduce the issue.

Here's a summary of the steps I took:

1. I created two menus:
- Menu 1:
- Home
- test
- Menu 2:
- Home 1
- Home 1

2. Within "Menu 1," I marked "Show as expanded," and in contrast, I unchecked "Show as expanded" for "Home 1" within "Menu 2."

3. For my menu block configuration, I opted to display up to 2 levels and intentionally left the "Expand all menu links" option unchecked.

Despite meticulously configuring the menus and the menu block, the behavior of the second menu did not expand as expected, aligning with the feature request. Your prompt assistance in resolving this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

As of now, it is working as designed and there is no need to apply the patch.
