i'm having this issue as well. would be great if you could just add an example to the documentation.
the dialogs did not close for me on entity create using this default patch. i created a patch to fix the dispatch and the js.
another option to apply this patch is to use https://chromatichq.com/insights/patching-info-files-composer/ with the composer-drupal-lenient package:

i couldn't find this issue referenced in any of the recent releases notes, which release fixed this issue?
