This is a comfortable and useful tool for our purposes.
We use the nice_imagefield_widget in one of our projects, and our customer is delighted with the possibility of sorting and managing images in galleries, so it will be great to release D9 and D10 compatible versions.

I've reproduced steps 1-4.
Created an Index view, added NID field (excluded from display), added "Entity Add Button" field with query setting nid={{ nid }}.
And I have a button with link /node/add/movie?destination=/articles&nid=3

Everything works as expected. Looks like the issue is not reproducible and should be closed. Thanks!

I've added a Merge Request to handle this case.
I've added additional settings for new form modes to be able to specify the weight for each role.
In case the user has several roles and access to different form modes, he will see the form mode for the prioritized role.

Could you please check new functionality and give me feedback what should be improved?
