Hello everyone,

In light of the discussions around the AdVagg module and changes in Drupal 10.1.0, I'm curious about current best practices for using "async", "defer", and "preload" attributes for aggregated CSS and JS files to improve page load times.

If we're waiting for an AdVagg update, what methods are you using in the meantime to optimize CSS/JS loading in Drupal 10? Any insights or code snippets would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for reply. I've gone through the thread, but I'm still at a loss. I'm unsure if AdVagg will help with adding attributes like "preload", "defer", "async", or if there's now a different way to handle this. Definitions in my themename.libraries.yml don't seem to assist in moving some .js files to "", leaving them in the header, which is a problem for optimization according to "pagespeed insights". I'm facing the same issue with adding a "preload" attribute for aggregated CSS files.
