This feature is of very high importancy for me, too (busyness use). please put an eye on it.
Today I applied manually all shared patches here (first time in my life, I'm not a developer, I just copy pasted the proposed changes to each file in a text editor via ssh) and can now state that with Drupal 10.2.2, forum_access 8.x-1.0-beta3 and ACL 2.0.0-beta1 everything works fine. I can add new forums and folders as designed and edit their properties incl. access permissions as I'm used to do so from this module running under Drupal 9.x. Very important to know for everyone who wants to go the same path:
ONLY install/activate the forum access module AFTER you finished adding all changes to the files of the forum_access module!
Just one little thing I just observed: The forum access module is not listed yet on /web/admin/reports/updates

I'd be highly interested in an update für D9, to use it in a bigger community project website. To motivate the people to move to the website by adding the possibility for them to share recorded voice messages in a more comfortable way than recording them locally on their device outside Drupal and then adding them as an attachment to their topics and/or comments.

I've got a very similar problem related to the [push-object:content] token. I'm using push-framework version 2.2.8 together with danse, push-pf-email and symfony mailer. At least the mails already arrive at all, but their content isnt satisfying me yet.
In opposite to the original creator of this topic here, I want my users to be notified about new forum topics and their related comments.
Now my problem is that I always want my users to know the title of the new content and in which forum it was published and a direct link to either the comment or the main topic, depending what was published last.
Even configuring the display modes (token) for both, forum comment and forum topic identically as a list of as well new forum topics and new comments, I only get shown "So., 18.06.2023 - 17:40 Permalink and the comment/topic title" as only replacement for the [push-object:content] token.
I even manually ran the layout builder cron before running the danse cron, advanced queue cron and as last one push-framework cron.
But getting always this same annoying result.
I dont have any idea anymore how to solve that challenge.
I'm not competent to write any own module or php script yet btw. (at least I'm able to use drush and composer and edit any files.)
