Most of the main, up to date Views docs are in the module itself as part of the "advanced help". There are notes all over the Views handbook pages, indicating that new docs should not be posted there, but instead integrated into the advanced help. Regardless, there is a ton of docs, tutorials, etc. in the handbook, and not every tutorial *should* even be in the adv help I would think.
We should clean up what is currently in the handbook into better organized sections, and then rewrite the disclaimer about what should be posted there and what should be patched into the Adv help (please consult merlinofchaos on this bit).
Or something loosely resembling that.
Cross referencing this to issue #672920: Using Views to display only certain node types -- I think there is a way to do it (with code) â in hopes that merlinofchaos will see it (I already ran this by emerald here as well: #233957: How to set up a category list â ), if he doesn't catch it in the next week or so, I will try and ping him in IRC just to make triply sure he's cool with this.

Correction/Clarification
Involves, uses, or integrates with views. In Drupal 8 core, use the âVDCâ tag instead.
Primarily changes documentation, not code. For Drupal core issues, select the Documentation component instead of using this tag. In general, component selection is preferred over tag selection.
