taxonomy_get_tree() generates data almost, but not quite, useful in taxonomy_save_term()

Created on 22 June 2009, almost 16 years ago
Updated 7 May 2025, 3 days ago

taxonomy_get_tree() formats term parents in an sub-array called 'parents'. However, taxonomy_save_term() requires the attribute to be named 'parent'.

Imagine a world where data from the getters could be used in the setters... :-)

I'm willing to help fix this. (yes, I'm aware it potentially a sweeping API change)

Does this bug anyone else too?
