Main nav overlaps with top bar on scroll

Problem/Motivation

There's a bit of a weird clash between the navbar and the top bar.

Steps to reproduce

Install the site template, view a page while logged in and scroll down.

Proposed resolution

Not sure -- I can improve it by removing the background that is set on the nav elements, but even then the menu links look weird and cover the bar/button so will leave it to the experts.
