The current goal of this module is to provide a lightweight integration with Siteimprove’s accessibility scanning. A key item on the roadmap is to add functionality similar to the browser extension, using xPath to highlight issues directly on the page. This approach was added to the roadmap because of the wide variation in how sites use layouts, regions, and blocks.
At the same time, the lack of an option for admins to ignore specific areas (also planned as a future feature) makes this a more complex effort. The development team felt it was important not to hold back an initial release while these larger features are still in progress.
For now, I’m moving this issue to Postponed while the Siteimprove team continues to review the roadmap and set priorities.
awesome, thanks for the thorough response! I will check back in on the module in a few months.
It will be great to be able to prevent my content editors from being able to submit/save/publish content that doesnt meet SI accessibility standards. This will save major headaches and will educate my staff in the process through real life experience seeing and solving these types of problems.
If you work for SiteImprove, you all should consider publishing information about this module, the road map, and future feature roll outs to the SiteImprove members emails lists. We are enterprise customers and it would be a great reminder to check back in with this module by seeing updates on the email lists
thanks again for your help and thoughtful response
