Couple of thoughts:
I'm wondering if the element attributes should be automatically populated by WxT when wet-boew form validation is enabled? Or perhaps that would be too heavy handed.
What if an information dialog was presented when this option was clicked ?

Actually I see the documentation links to the wet-boew documentation for validation. There's no link to the webform element attribute configuration documentation. With that said, I think it's sufficient as-is. For reference, I'm providing your screenshot example here:
