For some time, we have had multiple issues sat at RTBC without any action from the current maintainers, whose efforts are spread across many projects.
This is making it difficult to use the module in sites without implementing the --dev version, which is never recommended.
I will happily act as a Maintainer, simply to move forward some of these essential updates and ensure there is a release at least twice a year.
