Remove jquery dependency in JS behaviors

@gxleano Could you confirm you are open to the idea of dropping jquery in those behaviors?
If so I can try to find some time but I noticed and opened more pressing issues/bugs.

The jQuery dependency here is quite minimal, but we'd need to refactor the once() usage and update all the jQuery calls.

So, if you have the time, feel free to try it :)
