Another addition would be to have a link at the top like "Try it", "Try Drupal AI" or something pointing to https://www.drupalforge.org/template/drupal-cms-ai-demo, where users can "easily" test the Drupal AI features.

Hi Marcus,
thank you so much for your thoughtful insights. It is indeed the case that the page is the top performer on SEO. That is in many ways good, because we know where the majority of AI related traffic is landing.
In a majority if cases I suspect the greater proportion of people visiting this page are new to Drupal AI, considering whether to use it be they developers, agencies or end customers of Drupal. On Slack others have cited https://www.drupal.org/project/webform β as a good example page and it is clear that it is designed to "sell" webform by presenting rich feature set and a prominent video. It still has the important links to sub modules and issue queues, but most likely developers working with the module have bookmarked or memorised key pages.
The Webform page has a content hierarchy where the most important topics are at the top along with clear calls to action signposting different audience types to their place. We could certainly consider following this model.
There is a lot right about the existing Drupal AI page. The content is good and there are ample links out to the various modules. Those involved have done great work. With the launch of some and soon more pages dedicated to end users such as decision makers, marketers, other non technical audiences you rightly point out we impress the and signpost well. It is vital we hook these visitors onto Drupal at the early stage in evaluation be they developers or end customers. Each are equally important in our success.
The pages the Drupal AI Initiative are building out are specifically intended to serve the end customer. What would be fantastic is if the Drupal AI project page could send them our way. Now is a good time to consider how we direct people to the best content for them.
Rather than dive straight into editing the page, I suggest a first exercise would be to document what intents we think visitors from search engines to the page have. For example:
- Does Drupal AI have the features my business requires
- How do I host Drupal AI
- Where do I download AI module X
- Where is the documentation?
- Can I see some examples of other companies using Drupal AI?
Taking time to collectively gather this information will help build a picture of what the structure of the new page layout could be.
To make the page visually rich, 1xINTERNET can very likely get some design support to create some nice imagery once we are at the stage of building out the content.
