Currently, we cannot embed videos in issues or issue comments, only animated GIFs. This presents a problem whenever the content exceeds five seconds, because there is no way to add a pause control to an animated GIF. This means all content longer than five seconds violates WCAG 2.1 for 2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide (Level A).
1. Create an issue.
2. Add a comment to the issue.
3. Upload a 30-second video to the issue (I used .mov)
4. Attempt to use the embed tag to embed the video.
5. Preview the comment.
Desired result: the video is embedded in the comment and provides play and pause controls which meet WCAG 2.1 for 2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide.
Actual result: I can only supply an animated GIF, which violates WCAG 2.1 for 2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide.
Allow embedding videos.
