The module pages for jQuery modules (jquery_ui_menu for instance) say
Caution: jQuery UI was deprecated from core because it is no longer actively maintained, and has been marked “End of Life” by the OpenJS Foundation. It is not recommended to depend on jQuery UI in your own code, and instead to select a replacement solution as soon as possible.
Following that recommendation, I have removed all the jQuery UI-related modules that I can from my site, but some I cannot remove because of Geolication's dependency on them.
I'm not aware of another module that does what Geolocation does; I also don't know how integral jQuery is to the functioning of the module, so I wanted to make this request to at least gauge whether there's a willingness to undertake this effort.

jQuery is already removed. Only leftovers are by core. Autocomplete widget & ajaxComplete events.
But Geolocation still has the stated dependencies, yes? You're just saying I should take it up with them (core)?
I might add, jQuery is replaced in v4. v3 still depends on jQuery elements.
