Yup, I struggled with this; rather than adding a media field, you have to add an entity reference field and then choose Media with contextual modifications once that is selected.
Hello. I installed Media library media modify in order to use it with an Image paragraph, but the field is not available. The Drupal in question is in 10.3 but I tried with 10.4 as well. Tried with versions 1 and 2. Theme is Seven but tried with Claro too. Caches cleared several times.
