Last Enabled Menu Item Shows As Expandable with No Children

Problem/Motivation

The last enabled menu item on a menu displays a carat for expanding even if there are no children. No styling changes or any other front end changes were made prior or at time of updating module.

Steps to reproduce

Update from 1.8 to 1.10.
