I applied the fix for the 3.0.x and it seems to work now:

Tested on 2.0.x and works as well, I'll commit the change to the 2.0.x branch:
I'll mark it as "Needs Review" for a while, and if no issues have arisen after these changes, I'll mark it as "Fixed".
