Add meeting-related tasks as contributions

Problem/Motivation

Many core and community initiatives have regular Slack meetings, which is project management related contribution including:

  • Running meetings
  • Adding meeting notes in an issue (can be done by someone who was not in attendance)

Proposed resolution

Add both of these as contributions and document them.

And here are steps from @hestenet in Slack:

  1. My rough process:
  2. Install the extension
  3. Clone the previous issue and update the date
  4. Open slack in browser so you can use the extension
  5. Find the date of the meeting in the channel in slack
  6. Use the extension to parse items to clipboard to paste into the issue
  7. Swear and curse when some threads won't copy with the extension and you have to do it manually
  8. Paste them all in, assign credit to the list of participants which was generated by the parser as well
  9. Mark fixed and save.

  • Promote new tasks in Slack channels, so people know they exist
