Create scheduled gitlab pipelines

Created on 11 January 2025, 22 days ago

Problem/Motivation

This project does not have any scheduled GitlabCI pipelines. It would be useful to have this as when viewing the pipelines page it appears the last run was 5 months ago.

I have a problem when using Workbench Moderation as a test dependency. The tests were running OK at core 11.0 but failed in 11.1 - see πŸ“Œ PHPUnit tests fail with core 11.1 and phpunit 8.3.15 Active . A recent pipeline for WM at core 11.0 and 11.1 might help in the investigation.

Proposed resolution

Add a weekly test of 8.x-1.x and 2.x via
https://git.drupalcode.org/project/workbench_moderation/-/pipeline_sched...

    Done https://git.drupalcode.org/project/workbench_moderation/-/pipeline_sched...

@jonathan1055 do you have any interest in being a co-maintainer?

I'm down to one site using this and they're planning to be done with it sometime this year.

Thanks for adding the weekly pipeline.

Aso thanks for asking, but I don't actually have any sites using this module and I don't really know what it does. I only got involved because Scheduler 6.x or 7.x had some integration with Workbench Moderation, and we've kept that going in Scheduler ever since. But I wouldn't be much use as maintainer here. Thanks for asking though.

No worries, this module became content moderation in core.
Still 4500 sites using it - I'm guessing those were early D8 adopters.
It's pretty low burden so I'll keep the lights on for at least another year.

Thank you. Yes Scheduler now has Scheduler Content Moderation Integration for the core equivalent that Workbench Moderation provided. WM was/is a very needed module, as proved by the adoption into Core.

Just wondering what the situation is with these RTBC issues β†’ ? Is it that 8.x-2.x is where the development should be, but many of these were created under 8.x-1.x?

  • πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊAustralia larowlan πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ.au GMT+10

8.2 is the migration path to CM

    There's 8 RTBC issues for the 8.x versions https://www.drupal.org/project/issues/workbench_moderation?status=14&ver... β†’

The module is basically in 'maint fixes only' which for the last N years has just been major version compatibility.
