The field settings is ignored

Hi,
I was just lookig for a solution to this exact problem what this module should do.

But I'm unable to make it work. I did try the latest alpha3 version, and did test the dev as well with same result.

No matter if I set a field (tested with plain text field and with entity reference field) to display unlimited or limited fields I always got only one field in the form. I did try it with GIN and Claro themes.

Any ideas what I could setup in a wrong way? Or is this a know bug as it is still an alpha stage?
