Registration form legal checkbox is not marked required and not showing any validation error if sent unchecked

Problem/Motivation

Submitting the registration form with the legal checkbox unchecked is not possible (due to the required HTML5 attribute I think). Still it doesn't show any kind of validation error, the form is just not being submitted.

Furthermore the log shows the following error:

An invalid form control with name='legal_accept' is not focusable.

Thanks @sourabhsisodia_ tests are failing now and need to be checked.

Could you explain, why you choose this way? Did you find the root cause why this didn't work out of the box with #required?
