Accept button styling may not nudge users [legal]

Created on 4 December 2024, 18 days ago

Problem/Motivation

I know this might be a task for the library, but I think in the Drupal context it might get risky for Drupal users, so I'm posting this here.

Currently, the Accept and Decline buttons are styled differently and one might see that as nudging.
This source says, it might be okay to style them differently, if it's not a psychological pattern:

I saw other sources that said, both buttons should have the same color to be safe.

Out of the box I'd vote for an "as safe as possible" solution.

Thank you for the issue. We want to change the css and color of buttons in general and add a description in README.

What do you think: Would a color picker in the admin backend be a good idea?

I'd say that too many options can be counter productive. Instead, let's use CSS variables, e.g. those from common themes that they use for primary buttons. Then, the look and feel will follow the current theme.

Yeah I agree. If adding UI style configuration, I'd vote to put that into an optional submodule.
