Authentication errors on AI Settings page

Created on 2 December 2024, 20 days ago

Problem/Motivation

AI Settings page admin/config/ai/settings will display the AI provider generated message in case the key is not valid anymore. For example for OpenAI, the following message will be displayed:

The message from AI provider doesn't state where in Drupal the key could be updated, but instead the message prompts to check the key on the provider side.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install the module.
  2. Use valid key to configure default provider.
  3. Update the key, so that it is not valid anymore (this is of course only for testing, the key could become invalid, if someone deletes it for example on AI provider side).
  4. Access the AI Settings page
  5. Observe the message.

Proposed resolution

Add the information on where the key could be checked on Drupal side. Maybe add one more error message with the link to the key page in Drupal, where the key needs to be checked/adjusted/updated.
