Random failures in PHPUnit tests

Opened in 4.x to be backported in 3.0.x

Intermittent/random failures in PHPUnit tests:

1) Drupal\Tests\private_message\Functional\PrivateMessageThreadMembersTest::testThreadMembersWithTagsStyleWidget
Behat\Mink\Exception\ElementNotFoundException: Element matching css ".private-message-recipients article:nth-of-type(1) .username" not found.

What I understand is that there should not be any differences between 4.x-dev and 3.0.x yet.

Yes, but normally we target the highest dev branch then we backport. I've set to be backported.
