When config_distro_filter is removed from the codebase, the supported version of this module will no longer depend on config_filter.
If there is a need to follow an upgrade path for config_distro from previous versions to the currently supported version, i would propose adding a separate version section for the previous versions that depended on config_filter
Otherwise, remove the dependency comment from the project page.
Also, mention dependency removal on the release notes.
Remove or refactor config_distro_ignore to work without config_distro_filter module.
Remove config_distro_filter module from codebase.
