Problem/Motivation

I'm using this module on a decoupled site I am building. This is an important module for my site, so I'd like to keep it up to date.

For example, it's currently not possible to update the underlying library: 🐛 Cannot upgrade to paragonie/sodium_compat v2 because of PHP 7.2 Active

I understand that you may not want to drop support for Drupal 8/9 yet, so in that case, I could work on the 3.x branch to add Drupal 11 support and drop support for previous versions.

I do not have a security background, but I will be cautious in committing and add tests where possible.

If you allow me to be a co-maintainer, I will:

* Adopt GitLab CI and fix the tests.
* Release a Drupal 11 compatible version.
* Clean up the issue queue.

I have recently done similar work for the JSON-RPC → , JSON:API Include → , and Rename Admin Paths → modules.
