Tag creation is not working

I'm testing the "Tag Creation" feature on Article's tags field.

In manage field:
1. The field_tags is by default an entity reference field with Reference type: Taxonomy term to Vocabulary: Tags
2. "Create referenced entities if they don't already exist" is checked

In manage form display
1. Widget use Tagify or Tagify select
2. With default options

Content steps:
1. Add a non existing term in the tags field
2. Click save

Results: the new term is not created.

I can confirm that this issue is reproducible. My setup: Drupal core 10.3.1, tagify - 1.2.20.

I'll try to investigate and resolve it

Actually, we noticed that it was related to a contrib module - https://www.drupal.org/project/multiple_fields_remove_button →

So I guess nothing to fix in the Tagify module. Probably could be closed (works as designed)
