D7 Migration needed?

I'm using date_popup in D7 and wondering if there is a need to migrate setting? I tried the migration first and it ended with

Attempted to create, modify or delete an instance of field with name field_date on entity type node when the field storage does not exist.

I think you'd need to look to the date module in D7 for that.

It was the date_range module that was not enabled.
