Updating to 3.5+ leads to duplicate require-marks for horizontal tabs

Hello,

after updating from v3.4 to v3.5 or v3.6 in a drupal 10.3.2 environment, I get duplicate (doubled) require-marks in my horizontal tabs:

After some inspection, I found the change causing this. It's the changes done to formatters/tabs/horizontal-tabs.js:

After I revoked the changes, it works again. Does anyone have an idea, what's causing the trouble here?

For the meantime I created a patch undoing the changes.
