A corrupted menu tree is returned if there are disabled items in it

Problem/Motivation

E.g.
- item 1
-- item 12 (disabled)
--- item 121

Expected:
- item 1

Getting: unpredictable.

This is core issue Enabled subtree links of a disabled parent link are added to the menu tree at the wrong depth 🐛 Enabled subtree links of a disabled parent link are added to the menu tree at the wrong depth. Needs work , but no patches including #34 and are not fixed it (see my comment #35).

My patch with workaround is coming.
