Configuration Inspector Data Error without message?

Problem/Motivation

While looking at the Config Inspector for Watchdog Mailer for a different issue, I noticed that while the Schema Definition is correct, there appears to be an error with the Data. Weirdly enough, when looking at the Schema more closely, the "Error" and "Validation error" columns are empty - there seems to be nothing wrong in Tree, Raw Data and Form view as well. While this could be an error with Config Inspector, this has never happened to me before - maybe we should take a quick look at what might be causing this.

Steps to reproduce

Install Watchdog Mailer and take a look at watchdog_mailer.settings in the Configuration Inspector.

    Yes, I tried reinstalling the module using both the issue branch from 📌 Missing "request_uri" Token and Tokens cleanup Fixed , on which I was working then, as well as the current 3.x branch and the error persists. Really not sure what might be the problem - either Config Inspector was unable to formulate a proper error message or the Config Inspector module itself has some bugs... If we can't find anything wrong with Watchdog Mailer here, I think we should migrate this issue to the Config Inspector queue.
